With great sadness I must announce the death of my dear friend, Ellen Miller. I met Ellen in 1981 while we shared another of her great interests, Scrabble. When we discovered our shared passion for all things British, our friendship deepened, and my interest in Pym followed quite naturally.

        I visited Oxford several times with Ellen and greatly enjoyed the conferences we attended.

We can never replace this Excellent Woman—we can only aspire to carry on the wonderful work she did.
